Stack Block form
Use the Stack Block form to add a new stack block to your yard or to edit an existing stack block. This action includes defining a stack block's basic attributes, such as where it is located in the yard, its size, shape, capacity, and limitations.
While creating a new stack block, N4 validates bin names and reports any duplicates. To resolve duplicate bin names, you can modify the naming schemes in the block or naming tables. For details see Handle duplicate bin names (on page 1).
To define a yard block that is divided by a roadway or other element, see Split yard blocks (on page 1) in Navis N4: Yard Manual.
Yard Editor displays regular stack blocks as rectangles. However, if a stack block is missing stacks or includes a roadway, this affects the shape of the block. In this case, Yard Editor uses a non-rectangular shape that reflects the real shape of the block.
To add a new stack block or edit an existing stack block:
In the Stack Block form, on each tab, provide the required information.
For details on the individual fields, see General tab (on page 1), Display tab (on page 1), Names tab (on page 1), or Specs tab (on page 1).
Click Save.
N4 places the stack block on the map.
Notes
Due to dependencies, you cannot edit the name of a yard block.
When you upgrade from v2.5 or v2.6 to v3.2 or above, you must configure all of your stack blocks and their geometries in Yard Editor.
